Mt Albert stud is proud to present Quarter Horse Stallions Promise Keeper (PK) our young Stallion and Mt Alberts Bradford Roc (Bradford) our beautiful Buckskin.

We are a small Stud situated on the outskirts of Christchurch, inland from Burnham.
We strive to promote and breed quality Quarter Horses and all round sport horses suitable for Western, English and Pleasure riding.

The Quarter Horse is America’s most popular and successful breed.
They now compete for huge prizes in many events under Western and English saddle.
We believe by crossing the Thoroughbred with the Quarter Horse, we are producing a more all round horse.

Sporthorse breeding is overall becoming more and more precise with the increase awareness of bloodlines, conformation, movement and temperament being vital aspects in producing a purpose-bred equine athlete.

With the strength, atheleticism, temperament, trainablilty of the Quarter Horse and the height and movement of the Thoroughbred, we have a horse with performance ability for the competitors and a calm nature for the pleasure rider.

NB: The Thoroughbred is the only out cross recognised with the AQHA-NZ (therefore can be registered in the Studbook)
